Information on Trumpet Presentations for Senior Groups

Over the past several years, Bill has been serving as a member of the Singing Men of North Central Texas (SMONCT).  Through that affiliation, Bill was encouraged to develop a presentation to senior adult fellowship groups that combined a trumpet concert of favorite hymns with a brief talk on steps seniors should take to ensure they don't outlive their retirement assets.

During the last year, Bill has shared this presentation with senior adult fellowship groups in churches throughout the Metroplex and has traveled as far away as Cameron and Taylor.  Typically, the program runs for 30 to 45 minutes depending the needs of the group.  The trumpet concert is first, followed by the financial presentation.  One of the most popular tips Bill touches on is about the little-known Veteran's benefits available for long-term care.

Here are a few of the testimonials from church members and senior adult pastors with whom Bill has worked.

From:  Don Blackley, North Texas Area Music Specialist, Baptist General Convention of Texas:
"What a potent combination!  He blows a mean trumpet and the next moment has you laughing as he shows you how to be a good Kingdom steward.  Bill sings and plays trumpet with my Singing Men of North Central Texas.  He combines the heart of a minister of music with the savvy of an experienced financial planner."

From:  Glen Vanlandingham, Minister of Music, First Baptist Church in Round Rock:
"Thank you for recommending Bill Clark to us for a program for our Sr. Citizens.  He came today and did a music and speaking program.  Our folks enjoyed it very much.  He was very prepared and did a great job on his program."

From:  Alvie Allison, Minister to Median and Senior Adults, Tate Springs Baptist Church in Arlington:
"Thank you for coming today and sharing your musical gifts and the tips on retirement planning with our Sr. Adults.  I thought you had a good balance of music and information and all of it was well done and well within the allotted time.  I know everyone enjoyed hearing the trumpet played and singing favorite hymns with you.  I don't know the specific financial situation of each Senior but feel that the retirement and legal information you provided will help remind us all of the need to 'get their house in order'.  Maybe some will respond to your generous offer.  I will keep your information to share with other individuals, ministries, and health providers that need you and your service.  May the Lord continue to bless your ministry."

From:  Kevin Hoggard, Minister of Music, Lamar Baptist Church, Wichita Falls:
"Bill Clark was here at Lamar Baptist Church for our Senior Adult luncheon today and did an outstanding job.  His knowledge of financial planning was evident to our senior adults.  Many had specific questions for him after the presentation and several setup additional appointments with him.  Thank you for introducing him to the SMONCT group at the retreat.  He will become a valuable asset to my Grandmother's financial planning as well as my own.  I only wish we had more time for additional trumpet playing."
